The BBC archive Facebook page has posted a rare clip from 1981 in which the Nationwide programme paid a visit to Abbey Road studios as they celebrated 50 years in the recording business. You can see Kate right near the end helping to cut the massive cake (beside an equally massive moustache!) Singer Helen Shapiro and violinist Yehudi Menuhin are also interviewed.
