Kate has given a new interview to Ramin Zahed at Animation Magazine about her beautiful short animated film, Little Shrew. You can read the interview here.

In it, she discusses what inspired her to make the film, her use of the song Snowflake, incorporating a photograph by the late Ukrainian photographer Makxim Levin, and her hopes for the world in 2025.

Kate is also asked by Animation Magazine what some of her favourite animated films are: “…the magic of those early Disney movies never really goes away. Snow White, Dumbo, The Jungle Book have especially stayed with me. I’d have to add Pixar’s Ratatouille and Monsters Inc. to the list. I also love Allegro non Troppo and Belleville Rendez-Vous (The Triplets of Belleville).”

On September 18th, Little Shrew was screened at the close of the Together For Palestine concert event at Wembley Arena, organised by Brian Eno. Kate’s simple plea over the end titles says it all: “Please stop the killing and the starvation of children in Gaza – Kate Bush”
