New Podcast Episode – Fish People Reissues discussed!

In this new episode of the Kate Bush Fan Podcast Seán chats to Dave Cross from HomeGround about the upcoming Fish People reissue of Kate’s catalogue as she switches distribution to The State51 Conspiracy and how she has taken that opportunity to also release gorgeous independent record store colour vinyl editions of her albums, extraordinary new vinyl and wall art presentations of Hounds of Love, and more! We also discuss the new short film pieces Kate has written and directed, who she has been working with, why all this is happening now, and what nuggets we can glean from Kate’s lovingly reimagined new website. We round off with a brief chat about Kate’s induction last week into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame – a busy episode! Thanks as ever to Dave for his knowledge on all things record industry (and on all things Kate Bush!)

  1. I’m a little confused. This is vinyl only, right? I bought the CDs she reissued in 2018 (don’t have a record player), and I hope I don’t have to update my CDs again!

    • Hi Tracy, no, the audio on the CDs Kate is reissuing is the exact same as the 2018 Remastered CDs, in fact only the label art will have changed – this is due to her new distribution deal announced earlier this year which necessitated this catalogue update on vinyl and CD. For those interested, there’s also the colour vinyl editions which are exclusively available in indie record stores.

Thanks so much, Seán and Dave for such an enjoyable listen. It’s so lovely to share the excitement for the reissues, I can’t wait !

Thank you; it was lovely to listen!
When I saw the “Lost at Sea” boxes, I immediately remembered your old blog post about the original art piece she did back then for War Child.
It’s nice that she has made it available to the public, But I hope the price will be more accessible to her fan base.
